Job description
CMN Title and Acquisitions is seeking a GIS Specialist to join our team as we work on projects within the oil and gas, utility right of way, and/or renewable sectors. In this role you will be responsible for designing and implementing support for project development goals as it relates to mapping. The GIS Mapper will be required to work with team members to complete project goals. Qualified applicants should be able to create maps and perform a wide range of geospatial analyses in support of environmental permitting, environmental field surveys, and construction compliance for a variety of power-related projects; including, but not limited to, high voltage transmission lines, wind and solar energy facilities, transportation infrastructure and oil and gas pipelines. Applicants are required to have a minimum of 3 years experience in the GIS field and should be detail-oriented as well as highly organized.
Qualifications
- 5 years of GIS experience or knowledge
- BS or Masters in GIS, Geography, Project Management, Business Management, or related discipline
- Ability to work well within a team environment, positive attitude, multi-task, and self-motivated to produce high quality deliverables
- Ability and desire to learn and grow professionally
Knowledge and Experience
- Experience and working knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS software is required
- Microsoft Suite & Apps (e.g. Azure Dev Ops, Teams, Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Effective communication and collaboration on all organizational levels
Responsibilities
- Perform metes and bounds mapping
- Create and maintain an integrated layer using various data in ArcMap.
- Perform geospatial analyses of multiple datasets and themes (e.g., geologic, operational, measurement, topographical, land, environmental, regulatory, imagery).
- Integrate data from external data sources into GIS projects.
- Data creation and input, quality testing of GIS databases to ensure data quality and completeness
- Adhere to GIS standards for data management and deliverable development
Job Type: Contract
Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
